Tron Legacy - REVIEW

Film of the Day #89/ 300

Flynn Lives; Tron Legacy is an aesthetic masterpiece that does more than just electrify the fan boys. Sexy, stylish and superbly entertaining, the long-awaited sequel to the 1982 cult favourite represents a new height in digital cinema. The movie retains the original’s visual splendor and like Tron, Legacy was made to push the boundaries of technology in cinema, and succeeds. Tron Legacy is one of the most visually stunning pieces of entertainment ever made and is a magnificent jaunt into the digital dimension of disc-wars and light-cycles. The film’s state of the art special effects are enriched by a superb soundscape crafted by Daft Punk. The cutting-edge dance score perfectly captures the ambience of its neon environment and helps propels its audience in a 3D world of visual awe. I highly recommend that you enter the grid yourself as Tron Legacy is definitely worth the wait. A rendered masterpiece, Legacy is a stunning virtual ride and an incredible and all around awesome cinema experience.
