Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl - REVIEW

Film of the Day #90/ 300

Brace the main sail, shiver your timbers and prepare to set sail upon a swashbuckling voyage of adventure and masterful entertainment- savvy. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is the ultimate Hollywood blockbuster. Villains, heroes, scallywags, and ghosts, skeletons, daring rescues, audacious escapes, and treasure aplenty, The Curse of the Black Pearl is a barrel of fun. Director Gore Verbinski cleverly enthralls kids and amuses adults in this rousing, funny and spectacular Disney adventure. However, it’s Johnny Depp’s humorous performance as Captain Jack Sparrow that steals the show. Depp’s deft performance as the eccentric, individualist anti-hero is possibly one of the most unique and memorable characters ever created for the silver screen, and as long as Captain Jack continues to hoist the colours and ride the waves of the seven seas, then Pirates of the Caribbean will continue to entertain its audience and remain afloat. The Curse of the Black Pearl is a treasure chest of entertainment waiting to be re-found. The question is, can you sail under the command of a pirate?
