Inception - REVIEW

Film of the Day #110/ 300

Intelligent and imaginative Inception is a mind bending trip into the subconscious. Created by visionary director Christopher Nolan, Inception is a smart, innovative, thrilling and rare blockbuster that succeeds viscerally as well as intellectually. Cinema has rarely been this engaging on so many layers; Nolan’s command of multi-layered storytelling is nothing short of astounding as he cleverly spins an elegant cerebral story that is primal, compelling and completely captivating. The complexity of the plot works to make the film a must see however, the film is also a perfect blend of performance, story, music and effects. DiCaprio powerfully embodies a tortured soul, while a gravity-impaired Gordon-Levitt has all the fun in an ever-rotating hallway in one of the most spectacularly delirious action set pieces ever created. This is a story about dreams that requires the audience to stay awake. Inception is an ultimate modern masterpiece.
