Starsky & Hutch - REVIEW

Film of the Day #118/ 300

The big-screen adaptation of Starsky and Hutch is an affectionate satire of the late seventies action series. Director Todd Phillips pays loving tribute to the television show and strikes nostalgic gold with this zany buddy-cop-comedy starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Starksy and Hutch is a hilarious homage thanks to the undeniable chemistry of a great screen duo at the top of their comedic game. Stiller and Wilson are far less serious than their television role models and are joined by a spectacular supporting cast including Vince Vaughn, Snoop Dogg and Will Ferrell. The film is as clever as it is silly, and as well as glorifying everything that was cool about the era, Starsky and Hutch is also a priceless parody of seventies television in general. I highly recommend you buckle up tight and enjoy another ride in the famous gran torino. Do It... Do It... Do It!
