In Bruges - REVIEW

Film of the Day #138/ 300

A wonderfully absurd film, In Bruges in a witty and dark comedy set in the silent byways of the medieval city of Bruges in Belgium. Clever, unpredictable, entertaining and occasionally surreal Martin McDonagh's debut feature is a near-masterpiece, impossible to pigeonhole or predict. Tonally unique, In Bruges is hilarious and tragic, irreverent and wistful, peopled with characters learning to love life with death all around them. Visually stunning, I highly recommend you view the film and visit the city; you’ll be glad you spent time In Bruges.
