Van Helsing - REVIEW

Film of the Day #154/ 300

Van Helsing is a fast-paced, computer graphics laden nineteenth century fantasy adventure. Directed by Stephen Sommers, Van Helsing is an entertaining fiend-fest that succeeds in adding new twists on old stories, combining Frankenstein, Dracula and Biblical lore with elements of the James Bond series. The movie may be underwritten, over directed and even overproduced; however, this is a rip roaring reimagining and homage to many classic horror characters. Hugh Jackman firmly establishes himself as one of Hollywood’s great leading men as the titular character. This is one vampire movie with bite.
