Edward Scissorhands - REVIEW

Film of the Day #173/ 300

Before the introduction of CGI, Tim Burton was one of the most refreshing and inspirational directors in Hollywood. His finest cinematic achievement and creation is the dark, gothic reinvention of the Frankenstein story. Edward Scissorhands is both beauty and the beast; a haunting romantic fantasy, Edward Scissorhands is sad, touching, humorous and still as enchanting today as it was when released in 1990. Johnny Depp’s portrayal of an isolated figure lost in suburbia is one of the most iconic and underrated character performances ever. Edwards Scissorhands is a modern masterpiece that Burton himself, has never bettered.
