Saw - REVIEW

Film of the Day #193/ 300

Before eye popping 3D and theme park rides, Saw was a unique, original and brilliantly twisted horror movie that was both intellectually stimulating and skilfully directed. Unlike its successors this was not a horror movie that relied on gore to shock its audience. Saw was and is a smart and unsettling movie that creates mystery whilst superbly building both tension and a fear of growing panic amongst its viewers. Filled with plenty twist and turns along the dark journey, this puzzle is one jigsaw that you wished you hadn’t lost the final piece for. Only then could it rest in peace, with its legacy intact.
