The Trip - REVIEW

Film of the Day #196/ 300

Released as a feature film in the US, The Trip is a witty and largely improvised ride through the English countryside with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. Directed by Michael Winterbottom, The Trip is a wry and affecting movie about camaraderie, competition and friendship between two impressionists playing loose versions of themselves. Much more than an appetizer, if not quite a main course; however, The Trip definitely goes down a treat, thanks in large part to the bickering duos attempts to out-perform one other with imitations of Michael Caine over an a la carte lunch. It’s tastier than it sounds.
